About Client:
ContinuumFI is an e-commerce web page dedicated to providing its clients with any and all available information about the financial industry through a simple series of clicks in their online store.
Situation:
Having worked for years as an executive at major financial institutions, Terry Johnson decided to capitalize on his experience and create a collection of the most in-depth and up-to-the-minute information on the financial industry. The idea of ContinuumFI was to provide immediate access to the latest news and trends, but he needed to incorporate an e-commerce mechanism in order to facilitate offering and purchasing said information via the site.
Solution:
The e-commerce site was built using the nopCommerce framework and .NET which was then customized for ContinuumFI. The publishing companies that sell their products through the site are able to oversee their accounts and sales through a personal admin site where they can track the completed purchases, view their offered products and alter details as necessary. The transactions completed on ContinuumFI are made using the PayPal API but remain completely internal, allowing customers to complete their purchases with fewer clicks.
Truelogic customized nopCommerce’s framework in order to allow for administration of the various tax and shipping changes that arise from shipping products to and from different locations in different states.
