Known best for its automobile production, Honda has 58 years of manufacturing the world´s finest motors under its belt. Throughout the world, Honda is renown for its leadership in innovative development and production of a wide line of products that incorporate its forward-thinking technologies.
One of the challenges Honda faced was the sheer quantity of product variations. Honda needed to implement a web application that would allow prospective customers to browse items and also have immediate access to product descriptions. Because they are constantly adding to and modify their product lines, Honda also needed to be able to administer website content.
One of the main concerns of the client was to have a site where customers could easily browse different product lines and have immediate access to product characteristics. The Truelogic team created an application that serves as an online catalogue allowing customers to select products and instantly view their characteristics by simply passing their mouse over the product image. Truelogic accomplished this by developing a series of screens in Flash, allowing customers to view product details without having to maneouvre through various pages. In addition, Truelogic constructed the site´s back end so that client administrators could modify images, upload content, and user login information.
